Some, like murder and theft, are obvious as to why you should not break them. The government is trying to protect your own and others safety, liberty, and happiness.

ATTENDING SCHOOL

In America, we rely on our basic education to get by. We read signs, speak in english, do simple math, and need to get jobs. Attending school is important so that everyone has a mutual understanding of some things, like english and math.

PAYING TAXES

In America, the government provides many things for its citizens. In order to pay for some of the things it provides, like public schooling and infrastructure, the government needs monetary help. As an American citizen, you should pay your taxes so that your local government can provide for you.
